Emma Presler, facing a murder charge, is not in custody, Houston police said, and detectives are actively searching for her, according to Fox 26. A 19-year-old Houston woman was charged with setting a man on fire earlier this month and killing him. The incident took place on August 6, the station said. Houston firefighters responded to a call about a house fire around 10 p.m. and found the house engulfed in flames.
Two people, identified as Devin Graham, 33, and Karissa Lindros, 26, were found outside the home with severe burns. Both were taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition, but Graham later died. Houston police said Graham told them before her death that a suspicious woman had entered the home, thrown something on her, and set her on fire. Lindros was also in the house and was later burned in the fire.

Presler was arrested last September and charged with the shooting death of Sierra Rhodd, a 20-year-old girl with muscular dystrophy who was sleeping in her bed when she was hit by bullets from shooting from a vehicle. Investigators later determined that Rhodd’s 15-year-old brother, who had been in a dispute with multiple people, was the target of the shooting. But Presler was released when a judge ruled that there was insufficient evidence against her to establish probable cause.
Now, the families of those victims have come together because of their trauma and their desire for the woman they believe to be responsible for it to face justice. The murder charge Presler faces stems from the death of Devin Graham.
He and his girlfriend, Karissa Lindros, were flown to the medical center after a fire in early August. Lindros’ family said that she has gone through several infections and surgeries during her recovery. He still has several more left.
