Boris Sadecky was a Slovak professional ice hockey player who played professionally for the Bratislava capitals of the ICE Hockey League, which bets at home. On Saturday, October 30, Sadecky collapsed on the ice near the end of the first period in a game against the Dornbirn Bulldogs without any interference of any kind. He was rushed to the hospital by ambulance and the game was canceled.

The ICE Hockey League (International Hockey League of Central Europe) updated that he had passed away on Wednesday. “With deep sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our player Boris Sádecky. Our condolences to his family and friends. After consulting with Boris’s family, we will not release any further information at this time. We ask everyone to respect his privacy, ”said sporting director Dusan Pasek.

Sadecky, who was born on April 20, 1997, in Trenčín, Slovakia, had played professional hockey since 2015, mainly in his home country, Slovakia. He played as a forward for HK Dukla Trenčín, HK Orange 20 and HC Slovan Bratislava. He also played two seasons at the KHL, preparing for 42 games in total. He had just joined the Bratislava Capitals over the summer and had scored seven points (4G, 3A) from 11 games.

Sádecký, 24, passed away on November 3, 2021, after collapsing five days earlier in a game in Dornbirn, Austria.
