Nehemiah Lamar Harden, known professionally as SpotemGottem (stylized as SPOTEMGOTTEM), is an American rapper and songwriter. He is best known for his 2020 single “Beat Box,” which peaked at number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100. He has a contract with Geffen Records, Interscope Records, and Rebel Music.
On September 17, 2021, Harden was shot 5 times in Miami, Florida, due to a road rage incident. In June 2017, Harden was arrested in Duval County, Florida, along with Chaddrick Daniels. The two were traveling in a suspicious vehicle in the 1100 block of Sandlake Drive in World Golf Village at 7:40 a.m. Harden was charged with carjacking and carrying a concealed weapon.

SpotemGottem was in the hospital after he was reportedly shot in shooting from a vehicle on Friday 17 September. “SpotemGottem was the victim of a shooting from a vehicle this morning, leaving the studio,” read a statement from the rapper’s legal counsel. The Florida Highway Patrol responded to an incident involving a shooting around 3 a.m. on Friday, September 17. The car the rapper was traveling in was shot at least 22 to the driver’s side, according to the cited reports. The rapper was reportedly shot five times. The current status is unknown at the moment. Not much information was immediately available about the shooting.
SpotemGottem is best known for his track ‘Beat Box’, which was followed by a series of remixes, including one by DaBaby. SpotemGottem, whose real name is Nehemiah Lamar Harden, had a brush with police in July when he was arrested in Florida on weapons and assault charges. He was wanted for allegedly breaking through a parking lot door and pointing a rifle at someone who tried to arrest him in June. When US Marshals tracked him to a hotel, they found the rapper next to an AK-47.
Later he was arrested. Last month, the police wanted to speak to SpotemGottem about a murder that occurred last year, believing that he “might have information.” Reginald Agnew Jr was fatally shot after a party at a local venue in 2020. The Dallas Police Department noted that they “ believe the rapper has information about his murder and wanted to speak to him. ”
The rapper’s attorney, however, criticized the Dallas Police Department for sharing “reckless and false statements” about him in connection with an ongoing murder investigation. His attorney’s statement at the time called Dallas homicide detective Patty Belew and said: “The defamatory statements made by Detective Belew originated from his misunderstanding about a YouTube ‘rap video’ (in fact, a live broadcast) that Detective Belew claimed was about the death of Reginald Agnew, Jr. and mocked the Dallas Police Department. ”
