Gabby was reported missing by her family on September 11, 10 days after Brian returned home alone to Florida. She was on a trip across the country with her boyfriend in a converted van. However, her mother filed her disappearance report in Suffolk County after he did not hear from her for several days. The 22-year-old last spoke with her mother on August 25 and her last known location was in Wyoming.
Davis said, “When I saw that Brian had come back from the trip, that was the first thing that came to mind, that Brian had one of the episodes of him, and I just hoped he didn’t have a defining moment.” Gabby’s friend, who met her through Bumble BFF in 2020, also said that he last spoke to her in early August and that he planned to see her in Yellowstone National Park in September.

He also commented on the Aug. 12 incident in Utah between Gabby and Brian that required the police to be called. I’m a little upset that he didn’t call me after that fight, because he would have done it sooner. ”
On her relationship, Davis commented: “I have no doubt that she loves him and from what I’ve always seen, he loves her. Of course, as in any relationship, there were discussions. She would come and stay at my house when there were arguments, to get away from her. Within the first year I want to say at least seven to ten times. I think their relationship, as they progressed, was becoming more troublesome. It just seemed like there were more and more discussions. Everything she did, I feel like he thought it was wrong. ”
