I can’t take a break! Just two months after being hospitalized with pancreatitis, Travis Barker is monitoring COVID-19. The rocker took to Instagram on Thursday to break the news to fans, posting a clever and curmudgeonly rendition of himself swinging a pair of drumsticks.
“Covid sucks, I’d lean towards drumming,” Barker wrote in the post. The 46-year-old drummer has been performing at a meet up with Machine Gun Kelly for the latest leg of his Mainstream Sellout Tour, which is scheduled to wrap up in October.
As Kelly recently did, Barker has clearly been running afoul of his doctor’s guidelines for performing live, following his past battle for prosperity. In late June, shortly after his wedding to Kourtney Kardashian, the artist was unexpectedly hospitalized.
“I went in for an endoscopy on Monday feeling amazing,” Barker wrote on her Instagram story at the time. “However, after dinner, I did shocking torture and was hospitalized from there. During endoscopy, I had a tiny polyp removed in a particularly tricky spot, regularly treated by trained experts, that tragically injured a critical pancreatic vent. This caused severe and dangerous pancreatitis.”
A source told ET recently that “Travis’ prosperity is the main concern as of now” as he and Kardashian are considering trying to have a child together.
