She said: ‘I started driving home (and) it started to hurt a lot. ‘I called my son and said:’ Something is not right, I hope nothing happens. ‘ I hope I get home, I love you. ” Following the incident, Anne Arundel County Police Sgt. Jacklyn Davis said, ‘If you’ve seen this video, it’s very aggressive, it’s very deliberate, and that makes us think it’s not the first time she’s done this.’

Peters turned his back on him as he pushed the cart with the others. Then all of a sudden, Stemen quickly hit Peters with what appears to be a syringe. He quickly jumped in reaction to the needle stick and left the store.

After the assault, Stemen followed Peters out of the store, as they both searched the ground for an object. The two can also be seen exchanging words briefly in the short video. Peters told the media that he was prescribed preventive medications for 30 days.
