In the early morning hours of July 9, 2006, Tammy Gardner, a mother of two, was beaten to death inside her home in Wilmington’s Woodcreek development. The victims were soon identified and an investigation led to the arrest of Clifford Wright. He was found guilty of multiple counts, including four counts of first-degree murder, among other charges, and sentenced to life in prison.
