Sarah Apgar is the Founder and CEO of FitFighter, a complete strength training system that makes you ready for your everyday mission. She is an Iraq War Veteran, All-American Athlete, Fitness Professional, and Volunteer Firefighter. Sarah and FitFighter have been featured on ABC News, USA Sports Radio, Armed Forces Network, and Oxygen Magazine, and performed for clients the likes of ESPN, FDNY, and the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
Prior to launching FitFighter, Sarah’s career as a founder and fitness professional stemmed from four years in the Army Engineers Corps. During her military service, she deployed to Mosul, Iraq in 2003 as a Platoon Leader for the 52nd Engineer Battalion attached to the 101st Airborne Division. Upon leaving the Army, Sarah completed her MBA at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, and launched the Alpine Summer Term for teenagers in Lenk, Switzerland. Then she served as Director of New Stores and Facilities for Warby Parker, built her team from the ground up and oversaw the development and turnover for the company’s first 50 retail locations in 23 US States and Canada.
Sarah has a BA from Princeton University and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. She is a two-time All-American collegiate rugby player and a Certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor with the American Council on Exercise. Missing the camaraderie of the military, Sarah became a qualified volunteer firefighter and is a former NY State certified Emergency Medical Technician and Wilderness EMT.
