Millicent Edwards collapsed at home on April 14 and was rushed to hospital where she was placed in an induced coma to stabilize her condition. A healthy four-year-old girl died suddenly in Northern Territory, Australia, leaving her loved ones and medical professionals searching for answers.
She was subsequently transferred to the Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Adelaide, Australia, where 30 of her closest family and friends gathered at her side. But despite the tireless efforts of doctors, Ella Millicent tragically died on June 16.

The cause of her sudden death remains unknown. A GoFundMe campaign has been created to help Millicent’s parents, Cody Edwards and Amanda Watt, take a break from work to mourn their beloved daughter. The page has raised over $34,000 as of July 7.
Family friend Emma Bell shared memories of Millicent, describing her as a vibrant, compassionate and extraordinary young woman who had touched the lives of everyone around her. “Millicent was a sparkling, kind and special girl who touched the lives of so many,” Ms Bell said via the Daily Mail.
Millicent herself attended the local dance studio, daycare and preschool, where she made many adoring friends. “Millicent was loved by all who knew her and will always be missed.”
