Kimbrady Carriker Wiki – Kimbrady Carriker Biography

Police officers have identified Kimbrady Carriker as the suspected shooter in the horrific Philadelphia mass shooting. The incident claimed the lives of five people and injured two children. According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, Kimbrady Carriker was arrested shortly after the shooting that took place in the city’s Kingsessing neighborhood on the eve of the July 4 holiday.

The suspect she allegedly killed a man in a home before fatally shooting four others on the streets of Philadelphia Monday night has reportedly been identified as Kimbrady Carriker. Police called the scene in the Kingsessing neighborhood around 8:30 p.m. found gunshot victims and began treating them before hearing more gunshots, Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw said at a news conference Tuesday.

Some of the officers took the victims to hospitals, while others ran toward the gunshots. “With remarkable bravery and determination, they pursued the suspect on foot as he fled Kingsessing Avenue toward Frazier Street, all the while continuing to fire his gun,” she said.

Officers eventually arrested the shooter in an alleyway without further incident, Outlaw said. Authorities have not publicly released the suspect’s name, but sources told The Philadelphia Inquirer and 6ABC it was Carriker, 40. District Attorney Larry Krasner said the suspect would face multiple murder charges, as well as aggravated assault and weapons charges.

“I can tell you this, the man who did this is in custody,” Krasner told reporters at Tuesday’s news conference. “The man who did this will face multiple counts of murder, and will also face multiple counts of aggravated assault as a first-degree felony, weapons charges, among others.”

Krasner’s office and the police department have been contacted for further comment by email. Tina Rosette, who said she lived with Carriker for about a year in 2021, told The Inquirer that she was shocked by the allegations. She had never seen Carriker with a gun, she told the newspaper.

Carriker was “really smart, smart, creative” and he loved working on computer programs,” she said, but he had an “aggressive approach to some things in life.”

Her daughter, Cianna Rosette, 24, who also lived with them, said Carriker showed her a firearm multiple times and “was trying to make me comfortable with guns and things like that.” She said Carriker also indicated that he wanted a romantic relationship with her at one point and was “high-handed” about it. “I haven’t really talked to him after that rejection,” she said.

Tina Rosette said that she and her daughter moved in about a year ago. She said she believed Carriker had been in “a dark place” recently, but she wasn’t sure why. The New York Post reported that on Facebook, Carriker posted photos dressed in women’s clothing.

Carriker also posted regularly about supporting the Black Lives Matter movement, the newspaper reported. Carriker’s Facebook page appears to have been taken down.

Carriker was arrested in 2003 on drug and weapons charges. The Post reported that after pleading guilty to carrying a firearm without a license, the other charges were dropped. Carriker was sentenced to three years probation and ordered to pay more than $1,000 in costs, the newspaper reported.

The shooting was the nation’s worst violence surrounding the July 4 holiday this year.

Personnel Inspector Ernest Ransom, commander of the homicide unit, said witness interviews and video indicated the suspect went to various locations wearing a ski mask and bulletproof vest, and carrying an AR-15 rifle. “The suspect then began aimlessly shooting at occupied vehicles and people on the street as they walked by,” he said.

In those vehicles was a mother driving her two-year-old twins home. One of the twins was shot in the leg, while the other was shot in the eye by broken glass. The 2-year-old boy who was shot in the leg and a 13-year-old victim who was also injured are in stable condition, Ransom said.

The slain victims were identified as Lashyd Merritt, 20, Dymir Stanton, 29, Ralph Moralis, 59, and Daujan Brown, 15, all pronounced dead shortly after Monday night’s shooting. Joseph Wamah Jr., 31, was found in a home early Tuesday morning, also with multiple gunshot wounds.

Investigators believe Wamah was the first victim killed, Ransom, said, but family members didn’t find him until hours later.
