Keith Titmuss was a rugby league player for the Manly Sea Eagles of the National Rugby League (NRL). He was first signed by the club when he was aged 14 and was a popular figure in his six years coming through the development program. He scored the match-winning try for the Sea Eagles in the 2017 NYC Grand Final and was named the Manly Jersey Flegg Cup Players’ Player in 2019. He was a member of Manly’s senior squad for the 2021 season. However, he had not yet made his NRL debut. Keith was studying for a Sports Professional’s Certificate of Wellbeing, Coaching, and Mentoring.

Keith Titmuss Death
Keith Titmuss died on Monday, 23 November 2020, at the age of 20. He was taken ill after a training session in the Sydney suburb of Narrabeen, Australia. The Manly Warringah Sea Eagles announced his death in the following statement: “The Manly Warringah Sea Eagles family is extremely saddened to learn of the passing of player Keith Titmuss today [23 November 2020]. A member of the full-time NRL squad, Titmuss, 20, was taken ill after training at Narrabeen this morning. He was transported by ambulance to nearby Northern Beaches Hospital before being transferred to Royal North Shore Hospital. Keith passed away a short time later.”
Sea Eagles coach Des Hasler said in a statement: “We are all devastated by this news. Keith was a very popular character amongst the playing group. He will be sorely missed but never forgotten by the Sea Eagles.”
Sea Eagles CEO Stephen Humphreys said in a statement: “Our Club sends its deepest condolences to Keith’s family and friends and will provide them with all of the support they need during this difficult period. We are working with the NRL’s Wellbeing team to offer support and counselling to our playing group and staff.”

National Rugby League Chief Executive Officer Andrew Abdo has paid tribute to Manly Warringah Sea Eagles player Keith Titmuss. Abdo said the National Rugby League (NRL) would offer every possible support to Keith Titmuss’s family, the club and teammates.
Abdo in a statement: “This is a tragic day for rugby league. The game has lost a promising young player with the world at his feet. Keith had made it into Manly’s Top 30 for the 2021 season after coming through the club’s junior ranks.
“We will make sure Keith’s family, the club and our players receive every support they need from the game. We are one family and today we have lost a member of that family. On behalf of the Commission and the game I send my deepest condolences to Keith’s family.” Keith Titmuss’ family has asked for privacy during this most distressing time.
