Jo-Ellyn Tucker, the wife of Melvin Tucker. The couple has been married for decades now. Her husband Melvin, is a well known American football coach and former player.

Currently, he is the head football coach at Michigan State University. He was previously the head coach at the University of Colorado.

In 2011, Tucker was the interim head coach for the Jacksonville Jaguars of the National Football League (NFL) for five games. He has worked as the defensive backs coach at the University of Alabama and as the defensive coordinator for both the Chicago Bears of the NFL as well as the University of Georgia.

Education and Career

Tucker and JoEllyn, a Rutgers law student at the time, connected through a classmate of Tucker’s from his days at Wisconsin. Tucker talked to JoEllyn before the date “and was smitten,” according to the newspaper.

“She was in law school, she was nice looking,” the story said. “I got to know her before we met. She never told me what I wanted to hear. I respect a person who tells you straight.”.

In 2015, Tucker reunited with Saban as Alabama’s associate head coach and defensive backs assistant for a year before becoming Georgia’s defensive coordinator from 2016 to 2018. He was hired by Colorado in December 2018.
