Friends are paying tribute to TikToker Gabriel Salazar amid reports that he died in a car accident. The 19-year-old’s death has not been officially confirmed, but friends of the social media star have said he died Sunday in a car accident in San Antonio, Texas.
Salazar used the username @gabenotbabe on TikTok and earned 1.4 million followers. His friend Ricky Flores posted tributes to Mr. Salazar on Instagram. “Rest brother,” he wrote. “Words can’t even explain how I feel right now. Man, I’d do anything to get you back right now, bro.”
A GoFundMe has been created that says its goal is to raise money to help the family with the funeral.
Chris Vázquez is listed as the organizer of the fundraiser that had raised $ 15,500 as of Monday morning.
“I don’t know what is real and what is not real anymore, but unfortunately Gabe [passed away] [in] a car accident [on] September 26, we couldn’t believe it the moment we found out,” says the GoFundMe page. “I really don’t want to go into the details because it’s very difficult for us to even talk about the pain that she went through. I never expected this to happen, but now you are taking care of us.”
“Gabriel loved his family and was always playing with his sister and his little brother,” Vasquez added. “He was always there with a big hug and a smile, and his family will never forget those warm moments. He was so funny with a calm sense of humor and sarcasm. I can’t believe he’s sitting here writing this. How is this real life? ”

Your family and friends miss you, ”wrote the GoFundMe organizer. “We are asking for support for his family. There will be time lost from work and funeral expenses that will be too much for his family. Please consider making a donation and help alleviate at least the pain and stress of your parents. ”
Another TikTok star, 18-year-old Timothy Hall, who went by the name of Timbo the Redneck, died in August when he fell out of his truck window while making donuts. Her mother Tassie posted a video on her account saying that her son had had a “serious accident.”
“He won’t make more videos, no more videos,” said the mother. “My son had a serious accident yesterday and he didn’t make it. I want to thank everyone, for all the fans that he had. He loved TikTok and he just believed in all the fans, everyone who supported him, it meant a lot to him. ”
