‘I Want You Back’ is a nice and light-hearted comedy film that revolves around the themes of misfortune and the insane degree to which people can come to worship. Coordinated by Jason Orley, it follows Emma and Peter, two thirty-something waifs who are brought together by their normal misfortune of being unexpectedly dumped by their exes Noah and Anne. At first, they try to adjust to the consequences of their separation, however, at that moment they realize that they cannot continue. In this sense, in an attempt to recover their former soulmates, they collaborate to isolate them from their new accomplices.
While Emma struggles to seduce Logan, Anne’s love, Peter meets Noah to isolate him from his better half, Ginny. As their friendship spreads, the audience wonders if Peter will prevail in his main goal of getting Noah back with Emma. Assuming that he too is interested in discovering something very similar, he has found a partner in us. How about we find out together? SPOILERS AHEAD.
Emma and Noah end up together? No, Emma and Noah don’t end up together. He separates from her because he feels that she has no direction in everyday life and is a bit childish in her choices despite being 32 years old. Also, he thinks that she is confused and loses the inspiration to search for any wish. As a result, he sees no future with her, and her resolve to end things becomes stronger when he meets Ginny, an accomplished cook who runs a bakery near the rec center where he works.
Emma is heartbroken after Noah leaves her and struggles to adjust to his feelings. She therefore arranges with Peter to win Noah back by destroying his relationship with Ginny. To do so, Peter gets an enrollment at Noah’s rec center and delegates him as a mentor. During their meetings at the fitness center, he nonchalantly attempts to test Noah and Ginny’s relationship, as well as his feelings for Emma. Peter also meets Ginny and infers that they are both happy. He chooses to heighten his efforts to isolate them by taking Noah to parties and helping him reminisce about the happy old days of his.
Also, Peter tries to draw Noah’s attention to how unique Ginny is to him and how much fun he had with Emma. The latter option inadvertently calls out to Emma as she celebrates with Peter and her expectations rise only to be crushed when he tells her it was a slip. Later, Noah engages in some pettiness with Peter, but realizes that he is willing to give this up for a stable existence with Ginny. Regardless of Peter’s weakening, he chooses to continue with his arrangement and propose to her.
In a last-ditch effort to stop Noah, Peter attempts to report him to Ginny for treason by placing a condom cover in his room. Be that as it may, when the two abruptly appear, Peter must choose the option of hiding and witnessing Noah ask her to marry him. She happily acknowledges and they have sex enthusiastically, sadly. Crushed by her motivation, he proceeds to break this news to Emma, who loses all desire to win Noah back.
Before long, Noah welcomes Emma to his wedding and she chooses to go with Logan, whom Anne has left for Peter. After a serious fight with Peter at the wedding, Emma reveals her arrangement to everyone, much to which she angers Noah and Ginny. Later, she regrets Noah and he asks why she was so desperate to get back together with him despite being as different as chalk and cheddar. Emma shares that more than being in love with him, she fears never finding true love again and starting a new relationship all over again.
The common ground Emma imparted to Noah made her go over the edge to win him back, as he was the longest relationship she had ever been in. Consequently, she feels sorry for him and wishes him all the happiness with Ginny, consequently achieving the conclusion that she wants. Noah also excuses her and likes the progressions she has made throughout everyday life. He ironically advises her to avoid Ginny and they head in different directions from an optimistic point of view.
