Arrested
An arrest has been made in the death of actor Eddie Hassell.
Police officers in Grand Prairie, Texas, responded to a report of the shooting around 1:50 a.m. Sunday morning. They found Hassell, who appeared in the 2010 Oscar-nominated film “The Kids Are All Right” and the NBC series “Surface,” suffering from apparent gunshot wounds and transported him to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Grand Prairie is about 13 miles west of Dallas.

Wednesday, suspect D’Jon Antone was arrested for capital murder. The 18-year-old is in custody at the Grand Prairie Detention Center, and his bond has been set at $500,000.
Investigation report
According to a release issued to USA TODAY Thursday by Public Information Officer Chelsea Kretz, “Grand Prairie Detectives determined the offense was a random robbery by the suspect, who was not a resident of the City of Grand Prairie.”
Previously, detectives confirmed a car was taken from the scene and later recovered.
