Darrin Patrick was an American author and teaching pastor at Seacoast Church in Charleston, South Carolina. He was the founder and former pastor of The Journey, a megachurch in St. Louis, Missouri, which started in 2002.
In 1994 he pursued pastoral training by earning a Bachelor of Arts in Bible and Biblical Languages from Southwest Baptist University. In 1997 he graduated summa cum laude from the Midwest Baptist Theological Seminary and received a Doctor of Ministry degree from the Covenant Theological Seminary in 2010.
Patrick was the chaplain for the St. Louis Cardinals and is the author of several books such as Church Planter: The Man, the Message, the Mission published in 2010, and Replant: How a Dying Church Can Grow Again, published in 2014, to name but a few. . He was a prominent figure within New Calvinism, the vice president of Acts 29 Network, an international church planting organization, and board member of The Gospel Coalition.
