“Kentucky” Christopher Scott Ellis (Chris Ellis) was best known by his nickname “Kentucky” on Discovery Channel’s Street Outlaws. He was a cast member on the inaugural season of “Street Outlaws” in 2013 and continued to make appearances as a mechanic over the years. He last appeared on a 2018 episode.
According to Christopher’s obituary, “Chris excelled in working with his hands at multiple trades, but eventually settled on a career as a street-racing auto mechanic. He became known for his dedication to his job and his quick sense of humor at Midwest Street Cars Automotive in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.”
Chris also enjoyed hunting and spending time outdoors, according to his obituary. His obit reads, “He was generous and kind, and knew exactly how to make the people he loved to smile. Chris was a dearly-loved brother, son, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.”
Born in Cynthiana, Kentucky, he was raised in Pendleton County and graduated from the Log Cabin Learning Center in Morgan, Kentucky.
Discovery premiered Street Outlaws in 2013 and featured appearances from the Kentucky mechanic until 2018. The network did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
