Brad Boynton Wiki – Brad Boynton Biography
Brad Boynton is a former Amazon employee of North Carolina who was caught in a viral video scolding an Amazon delivery driver named Nikolas Mayrant. Daily Mail reported that Boynton is accused of calling Mayrant a racial slur when Mayrant tried to deliver a package to him in Cornelius, North Carolina.
However, according to the Daily Mail, Amazon denies that Boynton used the racial slur, saying that he instead said the words, “Nader, Nader,” because he was talking to someone on the phone whose name was Nader. Amazon told the Daily Mail that Boynton was fired and, contrary to information on social media, Mayrant was not fired and still works for Amazon.
“We were deeply concerned by what we observed in the video and opened an investigation into the incident,” the Amazon spokesman said. “After speaking with both parties and working quickly to understand exactly what happened, we took immediate action. We do not tolerate bullying or harassing behavior of any kind and, as a result of our investigation, we have terminated the person shown bullying our delivery partner. ”
Boyton’s LinkedIn page is now removed. However, a Google cache gave it its title as “Brad Boynton – Program Manager, Key Initiatives – Amazon.” The video first went viral after being posted on Reddit. Online records show Boynton, 40, lives in North Carolina and has ties to Virginia.
Mayrant’s sister shared the video on Instagram
Heather Rose, Mayrant’s sister, also shared the video on Instagram. She captioned it,
I know that racism is still alive, that is, I see it all the time on the Internet and then it hurts, but it is a little more heartbreaking and shocking to see when it is my blood brother. Anyone who knows my brother knows that he is the calmest person and is left alone. Yesterday, while working for @amazon, I was delivering a package to this man in Cornelius, Carolina. He started taking pictures of my brother and called Amazon to file a report. We later found out it was because the man didn’t like the way he parked his truck @amazon. My brother asked why the photos, because it has never happened. So while you’re on the phone with your fellow Amazon friend (who thought it was acceptable to call him Ng ** as well), you start cursing him and calling him Ng ** multiple times. My brother was FIRED from his job for asking the boy why the photos and walking on his lawn after he called him Ng **. I don’t know what to do in this case. I’m so happy that my brother decided to keep walking and didn’t lash out. I probably wouldn’t be here today for a package from Amazon! So I’m asking everyone to point me in the right direction of people who could help. My brother is out of work now with a new car and apartment! I have called Amazon 100 times to file a complaint, I ask you to do the same. Or tell me something better I can do !!!
The video was also shared on Reddit
The original video, posted on RedditRead, “?Please spread this out? While delivering packages for Amazon DLT 3 (Concord, NC), my boyfriend was reprimanded by this customer, Brad Boynton. At the end of the video, you can clearly hear the customer calling Nikolas a “n *****”. Nik is suspended because Brad is friends with a manager. ”
“I’ve told you seven times, fuck off. Dude, on the lawn friend, seriously. You don’t know any of the fucking policies. “Then use what some believed to be the N word (and Amazon says it was the Nader word) twice. The video is only 12 seconds long and is a Ring camera video .
According to the Daily Mail, Boynton is believed to have been talking to another Amazon manager on the phone and was upset that he believed Mayrant was walking on his lawn.
People expressed empathy for Mayrant in the comment thread, writing, “I wouldn’t even want to work there anymore! They would try to take legal action because they obviously do not defend their own Smfh employees ”.
Well-known civil rights attorney Ben Crump also weighed in on Twitter, writing: “This is unacceptable! A Black Amazon driver was FIRED from his job after a neighborhood resident called him racial slurs and harassed him while taking photos of him. Why was this young man fired when he was the victim of this shameful harassment ?! “But again, Amazon told the Daily Mail that Boynton did not use a racial slur and that Mayrant was not fired.
Boynton is listed online as the organizer to help a local veteran who walked five miles a day to work to help his children. That GoFundMe says Boynton served with the man in the 101st Airborne Division.
