Who is Avi Loeb? Wiki, Biography, Age, Harvard professor goes viral for finding alien fragments

Avi Loeb Wiki – Avi Loeb Biography

Avi Loeb, a Harvard professor, rocked the world after news that he and his team found remains of a suspected unidentified space object went viral. After conducting extensive research in the Pacific Ocean, the scientist claimed to have pulled up some traces of what looked like something from outer space.

The Harvard team of scientists collected 50 spherules of microscopic particles off the coast of Papua New Guinea, which Avi says proves that an unidentified space object crashed into the ocean nearly 10 years ago. He mentioned that this could be proof that life exists outside of Earth.

Loeb started his expedition in 2014 after he allegedly noticed something exploded and fell into the ocean.

Speaking on the same, Professor Avi Loeb shed light on the object, which has been labeled “IM1”, saying:

“The object, labeled ‘IM1,’ is tougher and has a higher material strength than all the space rocks that were cut up by NASA.”

Professor Avi Loeb is Ph.D. in plasma physics and has been working at Harvard since 1993. In addition to being the Frank B. Baird Jr. Professor of Science and former chair of the department, he is also a visiting professor at the Weizmann Institute of Science.

Avi Loeb is the author of more than 1,000 research articles.

Being a Ph.D. Tenured at the age of 24, Professor Loeb completed his studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and went on to work at the Princeton Institute for Advanced Study. He then quit his job and began teaching at the prestigious Harvard University, where he has been working for the past 30 years.

Throughout his career, he has written more than 1,000 research articles and eight books. He has also directed projects such as the Black Hole Initiative, The Galileo Project, and is the head of the Department of Astronomy at Harvard.

Also, because of his keen interest in astronomy and the meteor-like object that crashed off the coast of Papua New Guinea in 2014, he led the recent $1.5 million expedition.

During the investigation, he discovered that the remains in the Pacific Ocean are from an object that does not belong to this planet. He found the 50 little spherules using a sled that was dropped into the sea. The half-millimeter-sized objects found are reportedly made of an alloy of steel and titanium.

In addition, after carrying out several tests, Avi Loeb stated that this could be the first time that “humans have put their hands on interstellar material.” However, at the moment, nothing can be said for sure, as various teams and scientists are still investigating the phenomenon.

In addition, the Harvard team led by Professor Avi is also investigating objects found under the sea to find out more about their origin.
