Lexington police are investigating two nighttime shootings on the same street, one of which was fatal. Authorities said they responded to Florence Avenue around 10:30 p.m. Sunday for reports of shots. Police said they found a male victim; his injuries were not life-threatening to her.
Lexington police then responded to the 700 block of Florence Avenue around 3 a.m. Monday for reports of another shooting. Upon arrival, police said they found a man dead from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Fayette County Coroner identified the victim as 19-year-old Jalen Henderson. His manner of death has been ruled a homicide. Lexington police have launched an investigation into both shootings and are working to determine if the two are connected.
