A 15-year-old Michigan girl named Adriana Davidson was found dead near Pioneer High School’s sports fields Monday just before 1 p.m. Adriana was last seen on Friday, January 27, 2023, near the Ann Arbor School.

According to the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office, no indications of foul play have been noted in the death of Adriana Davidson. The teenager’s father had asked for privacy and “time to grieve” after the death of his daughter.
Davidson’s family received a call from authorities about the missing teen while they were interviewing a news outlet Monday. The Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office mentioned that K-9 units reportedly found the body of Adriana Davidson near the school.

Adriana Davidson was reported missing on Friday, January 27, after she failed to return home from school. Three days after the Michigan teen went missing, K-9 units found her body on the sports fields of Pioneer High School in Ann Arbor. The police confirmed that no indications of foul play have yet been found.
The teenager’s friends further added that she was not feeling well and she left school early. Her friends confirmed that they called her before 11 am that same day, and her family last contacted her around 9 am.
Anthony Lopez, Adriana’s brother, said one of Adriana’s best friends sent him a text shortly before 12:30 p.m. m. and reportedly had a strange conversation.
Speaking about the conversation, Lopez said that when Adriana’s friend sent her a text asking if she was okay, the 15-year-old replied that she was not. After this, her friend asked Adriana Davidson what she meant by that, but the teenager never answered the question.
The missing girl’s cell phone was later recovered on the school tennis court by a student on Friday, who handed it over to Adriana’s best friend. The cell phone was later turned over to police.
When Adriana disappeared, the police considered her disappearance strange and suspicious. However, after her body was found on Friday, they appeared to change their stance, saying that at the current stage “there is no indication of foul play.” Authorities added that the Ann Arbor Police Department will take over the investigation since the scene where Adriana’s body was found was within the city limits.
Adriana Davidson’s heartbroken father, John, announced her death and, expressing his grief over it, said he was not sure what would happen next. However, he did say that he was grateful for all the support and love he received from everyone.
The teen’s family began searching for her when she did not return to her home on Friday. Her attempts were in vain after Adriana was found dead near the high school.
Adriana Davidson’s brother, Anthony, spoke in a video posted to Facebook about her death. He said there were two detectives there who let the family know that Adriana had been found and that she had “passed away.” Anthony added:
“My little sister is dead.”

In statements to the media, Adriana’s family said investigators found surveillance footage showing the teen returning to school after she left early. However, the footage of her did not show her entering the school building.
Anthony Lopez said a student told Adriana’s best friend that the teen was seen at a bus stop with a man. The man was wearing a black hoodie and black pants and it didn’t look like the two knew each other, but he added “who knows.”

Meanwhile, the Ann Arbor Police Department took to Twitter to announce that they are investigating the teen’s death.
Anthony Lopez mentioned that when the 15-year-old didn’t get home until the afternoon, she sent him a text, but she received no response. He pointed out that it was highly unlikely that her sister would not respond to text messages.
Lopez described Adriana as “super smart” and added:
“She was 7 years old with cardboard and scissors, building arms. She just has this unconditional love for animals, and she has her cat here and I know she misses them like we miss her, and… we just, we are thankful for everyone who is sharing.”
Adriana Davidson’s family believes there is foul play involved. Lopez mentioned that when he heard that his sister was missing, he knew that she didn’t just run away. He further believed that discovering her cell phone near the school’s tennis court was a “red flag.”
Police urged anyone with any information regarding Adriana’s disappearance and death to come forward and reach out to them.
