Eduardo Bonilla-López was arrested last month and charged with the kidnapping and murder of Haylie González after he allegedly showed her bleeding from a gunshot wound to the head while FaceTiming with a friend. Authorities investigating a body found in an Oklahoma City apartment complex say it could be that of a 17-year-old girl who disappeared after a July 4 party.
Bonilla-López reportedly told investigators that after the video chat, she took González to another location where she had someone else dispose of her body. as CrimeOnline previously reported. Oklahoma City police were called to the apartment complex around 8 a.m. Monday and were on the scene for several hours. News9 informed. Yvonne Turner, González’s mother, told the station that detectives called her and said they “think we found her.”

Suspect Arrests Made In Connection With Disappearance
Investigators said she approached a friend that night and asked for a ride. She reportedly looked scared, but when her friend arrived, she was gone. Records show that Bonilla-Lopez called a friend via FaceTime and asked for his help in disposing of a body. González was seen in the background, bleeding from the head.
Bonilla-López was later arrested for first-degree murder and kidnapping. Police continue to search where González’s body had been placed.
After he was arrested, investigators were able to find recordings between Bonilla-López and her sister, Lilian Bonilla, according to new court documents. During that conversation, Bonilla-López told Bonilla where the weapon she was using was located, according to court documents. She then gave him instructions on “how to dispose of the firearm”.
Bonilla reportedly told him that she and her father, Vidal Bonilla-Jeres, had disposed of the weapon. The affidavit also indicated that Bonilla-López and Bonilla spoke “using code words.” Bonilla-López told Bonilla where González’s body was found and “informed him that she was not buried.” Bonilla reportedly told Bonilla-López that she “took care of it,” according to court documents.

Bonilla-López’s father was interviewed and told investigators that Bonilla had brought him a gun. He said he gave it to someone else, but the weapon has not yet been found. Both Bonilla and Bonilla-Jeres were booked into the Oklahoma County Jail. There have been several searches throughout the metro to search for González’s body, but the police have yet to find her.
González was last seen at the July 4 party at Bonilla-López’s home. Investigators learned that González had called a friend that night to ask for a ride and that she seemed scared.
Bonilla-López allegedly asked her friend for help in disposing of González’s body on the FaceTime call, but the friend refused and told Bonilla-López to take the girl to a hospital. But Bonilla-López rejected that suggestion and said he did not want to go to prison. Oklahoma City police arrested Bonilla-Lopez on July 12. His father and sister were also arrested and charged with helping him cover up the crime.
Police said they were waiting for the coroner to positively identify the body and determine the cause of death. González’s family said that if it is the 17-year-old, they plan to take her back to Texas, where she is from, for burial.
