Wisconsin resident Zachariah Anderson was under investigation for following and killing his ex Sadie Beacham’s girlfriend, Rosalio Gutierrez, in 2020. Anderson was found guilty of first-degree willful murder on Wednesday, March 22, 2023.

During a protracted preliminary murder trial that lasted nearly a month, examiners listing the case said Zachariah Anderson had followed Rosalio for a long time. Rosalio Gutiérrez, father of two children, was reported missing on May 19, 2020, two days after his alleged murder. His girlfriend Sadie Beacham made the report after she was unable to contact him and after arriving at her loft, she found him covered in bloodstains.

Although Rosalio’s body was not at the scene of the crime, specialists affirm that he had died after seeing a lot of blood in the condominium.

Specialists said they targeted Anderson as a suspect after Beecham let them know that his eager ex was following them before Gutierrez was last seen alive. They discovered that the morning after Gutierrez was seen alive, reconnaissance film caught Anderson in a Walmart. He was seen shopping for some cleaning supplies, including medical gloves and baby wipes.

Anderson was charged in the victim’s death after specialists traced the victim’s DNA inside his truck. They also found evidence suggesting that the vehicle had recently been deep cleaned with dye.

After the preliminary trial ended, lead prosecutor Michael Graveley said he was grateful for the opportunity to bring equity to Rosalio Gutierrez, who was a local favorite.

He said Gutierrez was loved by many people and made a huge difference to everyone in his life. The lead prosecutor added that it was a relief that he had the option of taking a small part in the attempt to obtain equity for Rosalio’s death.

In a question and answer session, the victim’s family presented the police record that examined the case and convicted the suspect. Zachariah Anderson is scheduled to be sentenced on May 16, 2023 and is supposed to face existence without the possibility of parole.
