His protective legal counsel said the accused should be assessed by a prison service therapist or transported to Central Mental Hospital in Dundrum. Judge Murphy approved his request and requested that all expected clinical treatments be provided to the defendants. According to the court, Palani was given a legitimate tour guide because he was unemployed and unable to adapt to the charges without it.
