In a report put out by the transit police, officers described they were approached by a female passenger around 4:40 p.m, who informed them that a man had just kicked her service dog in the head.
By her account, the man allegedly said, “Get that F****** dog out of my way,” before striking the animal.
Transit police located Bagen, of Quincy, on the outbound platform, and the reporting party positively identified him as the man who assaulted her service dog.
Bagen was placed into custody for Cruelty to Animals and booked.

The incident happened just before 5 p.m. on Wednesday. The victim approached the police and told them that a man had kicked her service dog in the head. Before the assault, William Bagen, 43, shouted “Get that f–king dog out of my way,” according to transit police.
Police found Bagen sitting on a bench at the station, and the victim identified him as the dog-kicker. He was arrested and charged with animal cruelty, police said.
