An FBI SWAT unit greeted the agents as they exited the elevators on the second floor. All seven members were quickly handcuffed. It turned out that the unit had been under state surveillance for several months.

They had a wealth of evidence showing that Wayne and his subordinates were robbing civilians, stealing drugs and even selling illegal weapons on the street, thanks to listening devices and secret recording devices.

Jenkins, along with five other former police officers, pleaded guilty.

Wayne Jenkins is currently completing the remainder of his sentence in a federal prison in Kentucky. Jenkins did not testify at the trial, although he was the center of attention. After three weeks of incredible testimony, the jury found the two remaining officers guilty. Jenkins received the most severe sentence: 25 years in prison.

He will be released in 2038.
