Frantic Max star Vincent Gil, aka The Nightrider, dies at 83 as co-star offers recognition. Australian actor Vincent Gil, most popular for playing The Nightrider in 1979’s Mad Max, recently died.

Her partner and co-star Paul Johnstone, who played Kundalini in that famous film, confirmed the news on Facebook, sharing a new photograph of the two affectionately intertwined. He inscribed the image saying, “Tragically, it’s valid… Vince Gil has left us. He has been extremely fragile for a long time, and with leniency, he should never again be bound by his human makeup.”

Then, at that moment, his partner Paul proceeded to share one of his #1 memories, including his late partner, which occurred during a visit to Japan in 2015.

Paul Johnstone commented that “he was below ideal health at the time, and on the first day of the season, the two or three of us were concerned about his ability to spend long days soliciting shows, mingling, traveling and performing.”

Paul ended his contact acknowledgment for his late partner with a reference to a scene from his biggest movie, Mad Max. “Rest well my friend, we will remember you when we look at the night sky,” he wrote on Facebook on Sunday.
