Tara Anderson is the wife of Kyle Anderson, was an Australian professional darts player who played within the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) from 2012 to 2021. He won the 2017 Auckland Darts Masters tournament. He was the brother of fellow darts player Beau Anderson.
He started playing darts at the age of six and has been competing in tournaments since he was nine. He first became interested in the game by watching his father play. Anderson was an Aboriginal of Noongar origin.
Anderson qualified for the 2013 PDC World Darts Championship by winning the Oceanic Masters. He lost to Steve Beaton 3-0 in the first round, as he missed two chances to win each of the first two sets. Anderson dominated the 2013 DPA Australian Grand Prix season by winning seven events to headline the Order of Merit. This secured him a place at the Sydney Darts Masters and the 2014 World Championships. He lured 16-time world champion Phil Taylor in Sydney and was defeated 6-1.
Trailing 2-1 behind Ian White in the first round of the World Championship, Anderson became the seventh player to throw a nine-dart finish in the event’s history. It was the second nine darts in less than an hour after Terry Jenkins had also hit one, which meant Anderson had to share in the £ 30,000 prize. However, it was the last leg that he won during the match, as he was defeated 3-1. Anderson stated after the match that he hoped his performance would help raise the profile of darts in Australia.

Kyle Anderson Cause of Death
Australian darts player Kyle Anderson has passed away at age 33, the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) has confirmed.
Anderson played in seven PDC World Championships after debuting in the 2012-13 event and held a PDC Tour card from 2014 until this year. Anderson returned to Australia at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic last year and gave up his Tour card in January 2021, as he chose to stay in his homeland for family reasons.
The Queensland-based player had tested positive for Covid-19 shortly after returning to Australia from the UK in March 2020, spending four weeks in self-isolation. He posted a photo, apparently of himself in the hospital, on his Instagram account on August 10 with the caption, “Now it’s too regular.”
PDC President Barry Hearn said: “We send our condolences and best wishes to Kyle’s family and friends at this terribly sad time, particularly his wife and his children. He was a popular player on the Tour and his talent and dedication made him an inspiration to other players around the world. ”

Nicknamed “The Original”, Anderson’s biggest spell on the circuit came in 2017 when he won a Players Championship and the Auckland Darts Masters. Anderson reached the third round of the 2019 world championship and also achieved a nine-dart final against Ian White at Alexandra Palace in 2014.
“What terrible news to wake up to, Kyle, you [were] the kindest person at darts, you always had time for everyone,” wrote reigning world champion Gerwyn Price, reigning world champion. “You will be greatly missed. Sending all my love and strength to his wife and his young family, brother RIP.”
Simon Whitlock, who played alongside Anderson for Australia in team events, wrote: “Totally heartbroken to wake up to the terrible news about Kyle. Not just a brilliant player, but a very nice man. I played against him many times and I loved playing with him. We will miss you, Kyle, but we will never forget you. ”
Former BDO World Champion Stephen Bunting posted: “Absolutely heartbroken to hear the news this morning. RIP Kyle Anderson. The world of darts has not been the same with you or your brother. You always made me laugh every time we saw each other. Never a dull moment with you around you. We are all going to miss you, friend. ”
