A suspect was in custody following a possible shooting near Mahany Park in Roseville, California, on Thursday night.
In a Facebook post, the Roseville Police Division said there was a “watch near Mahany Park in Roseville. Roseville Police and other members of the police are on the scene to balance the circumstance. The region is protected, but stay away from it until further notification. More data will come.”
Mahany Wellness Center, Roseville Aquatics Complex and Riley Library were all seized following the alleged shooting.
The Roseville Office of Parks and Diversion said: “There is a police circumstance in operation at Mahany Park as of now. Mahany Wellness Center, Roseville Aquatics Complex, and Riley Library are currently closed. All staff, guests and youth in the camps are protected. If it’s not too much trouble, stay out of the area and don’t try to take your children out of camp until the situation is resolved and we give you more support.”

In an update, the department said: “The region is currently protected, but the streets are still closed, so please stay away from the region and do not try to remove children from the camps.”
The Roseville Joint Bound Together Area Schools also stated that Woodcreek High School was closed due to the shooting. No substitutes or personnel were involved or harmed in the incident.
A prisoner and a CHP officer were reportedly shot in the incident. In any case, there is no claim of authority regarding something very similar.
