Sheila LaBarre, who was born in 1958 in Alabama, received her high school diploma from Fort Payne in 1976. She had several failed marriages and attempted suicide in the early 1980s before being sent to a mental hospital. Her violent mood swings, according to her husband Ronnie Jennings, were the result of her anxiety that they would turn into crimes in the future.

In 1987, he moved to Epping, New Hampshire, and took a roommate in Wilfred “Bill” LaBarre, a local chiropractor. He gave Sheila LaBarre her last name and they lived together until her death in 2000. Then, claiming to be her common-law spouse, she received all of her wealth.

She claims that after an accident when she was younger left her in a coma, she died and woke up to find herself sitting at a table with other bearded men. She insisted that one of the men was God, who informed her that she still had work to do on earth. To kill pedophiles and perverts like the men who hurt her when she was younger, she allegedly “returned” into her life on her orders.

Through a personal ad, Sheila LaBarre connected with Kenny Countie and encouraged him to visit her property. He moved in with her shortly after her and was last seen in March. He had cuts on his hands and face after she pushed him in a wheelchair at Walmart earlier that day. The young men had been sexually assaulted by Countie, according to court testimony, and LaBarre had recorded the same confession.

After being labeled a serial killer in 2006, she confesses to the murders of Michael Deloge and Kenny Countie and was found guilty of both crimes. Investigators searched her property and found three human toes near the farm, none of which belonged to any of her victims. Although she denies it, there have been rumors that she may have killed Bill LaBarre.

The results of the three-week police investigation at LaBarre’s farm included the discovery of a burned mattress, human bones, and blood spatter in numerous locations within the residence. He admitted to killing Countie with a knife and then setting her body on fire. She also admitted to killing Deloge, but her cause of death remains a mystery.

LaBarre received a life sentence in prison in 2008 and is currently incarcerated at the New Hampshire Correctional Center for Women in Concord, New Hampshire, with no possibility of release.
