Samuel Peña has been the head of the HFD since December 2016. Before that, he served as the head of El Paso. In an Instagram story, Jenner said: “I want to make it clear that we were not aware of the deaths until the news came out after the show, and in no world would he have continued filming or acting.” As of November 8, more than a dozen lawsuits had been filed against Scott and the organizers, while the Houston Police Department is conducting a criminal investigation.
