Swamp was left in poor shape after suffering cardiovascular failure in Bundaberg, Queensland on February 24, 2022, en route to a cause event organized by the Queensland Bulls Masters. He died in Adelaide, South Australia, after eight days, on March 4, 2022. He was 74 years old at the time of his death. Swamp, considered one of Australia’s best goalkeepers, played 96 tests during his 14-year world vocation.

With 118 runs against Pakistan in December 1972, he became the first Australian glover to score a century. After giving up the game, Marsh worked on various coaching and regulatory limits in both Australia and England. Bog was inducted into the Cricket Hall of Fame by Cricket Australia in 2005.
After playing 96 Tests for Australia, the popular wicketkeeper proceeded to take over as manager for the public side. Swamp was the leading Australian goalkeeper to make a Test century in 1972-73, scoring 3,633 runs and taking 355 excuses during his fruitful career, which spanned 1970-1984. The athletic legend, who was born in Perth and became the mentor of the National Cricket Academy in Adelaide, spent the last twenty years of his life there. Swamp owes his young Paul, Dan, and Jamie, as well as his better half Ros.
