Birth and early life Rajit Kapur was born on May 22, 1960 in Amritsar into a Punjabi family. He finished his tutoring from the Cathedral and John Connon School and then went on to obtain a Bachelor of Commerce from Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics.

Profession Rajit initially appeared on television with the national television program DD Khel Khilone at the age of 6. Then at that time, in the year 1986, he debuted with the Ghar Jamai sequence which was broadcast on DD National. In 1993, he also became famous for his work in Byomkesh Bakshi, where he took on the title role and also appeared in its spin-off in 1997.
