Prathap Pothan, the great Indian entertainer and film producer, took his last breath on July 15, 2022 in Kilpauk, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Learn about his married life and his most memorable husband, Raadhika.
The 69-year-old Filmfare Award Winner was found dead at his home in Chennai on Friday. Preliminary police reports show that Pothan’s death is for a normal reason and there are no components of murder.
Since his 1978 presentation with the Malayalam film Aaravam, Pothan has worked on over 100 films in Malayalam, Telugu and Tamil as well as Hindi. He has won the renowned Filmfare grant several times in his profession.

Malayali entertainer and chef Pothan and Raadhika have no children from their short marriage. Yet a year after the marriage, they soon went a different way.
Coordinated by Pratap Pothen and winner of the Indira Gandhi Award for Best First Film by a Director, ‘Meendum Oru Kaathal Kathai’ was created by the prestigious entertainer. While working on the 1985 film in which the two played supporting roles, they fell head over heels.
Raadhika, born 21 August 1963, is a flexible Indian entertainer, creator and business visionary. Raadhika mainly works in Tamil film, Telugu and a few Malayalam, Hindi and Kannada films.
In addition, she is the girl of Geetha and MR Radha, a deceased Tamil entertainer and comedian from Tamilnadu. Raadhika sent them to school in the UK, Sri Lanka and India. She has two more youthful brothers, Raju and Mohan, and a younger sister named Nirosha who acts as an entertainer. Radha Ravi, her more established stepbrother, is also her.
After her fame as an entertainer, she dismissed her own creative organization, Radaan TV, in 1994. After certain setbacks, her company was renamed as Radaan Mediaworks India Ltd in 1999 and became one of the major creation houses.

By the way, in 2006 Raadhika strayed into legislative issues. She joined the AIADMK, close to her life partner R. Sarathkumar, before the decisions of the 2006 General Assembly. Yet she was expelled from the AIADMK on October 18, 2006 for opposing party leadership. Also, from 2007, she has held the position of deputy general secretary of the All India Samathuva Makkal Katchi.

In 1990, the couple married in London, England, and Raadhika settled there with him. They had a girl Rayanne on August 22, 1992, just a few months before their divorce.
On August 28, 2016, Rayanne married cricketer Abhimanyu Mithun in a standard job in Chennai. Abhimanyu played for Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians in the IPL, and also addressed Karnataka in top level cricket.
