Does the predator turn become the prey?

The long-awaited Prey, a precursor to the first Predator and its sequels, is now available on Hulu. The movie Predator, which tells the story of the genesis of Predator and was released almost 35 years ago, is without a doubt the best sequel.

Prey, set in 1719, tells the story of a huntress named Naru who sets out to earn the respect of her Comanche tribe. When she defeats an alien threat to her existence, she ultimately turns out to be her savior. The film references the venerable Predator series.

The premise of Prey is about Naru and his devoted friend Sarii. Introducing viewers to Naru as a skilled hunter who is routinely ostracized by her tribe because she is a woman, the film quickly sets the mood and background. Naru goes on a hunt to prove her worth, but she comes across the predator, an unidentified creature.

The predator quickly begins to wreak havoc after being equipped with cutting-edge technology and superhuman abilities. Even if it means taking on the role of prey herself, Naru must take whatever measures are available to neutralize the danger.

The predator first targets the Comanche hunters before moving on to the French traders who had taken Naru and his brother Taabe prisoner. As the predator attacks the French invaders, Naru and Taabe are able to flee. However, Taabe gives his life to save his sister and his dog, Sarii, when the pair come face to face with the predator.

Naru pursues the predator out of a desire for revenge and, after several encounters, learns how to defeat the alien. Now that she is conscious, the predator will not attack unless he perceives a threat. She takes advantage of this by chewing on an orange flower, a medicinal herb, to cool her blood, making it difficult for the predator to recognize her as a threat.

After diverting the alien’s attention with another prey that is equipped with shooting technology, Naru is able to remove the creature’s helmet. She then engages the beast in a one-on-one battle as she lures it into a mud hole.

By the time the beast makes it out of the swamp, Naru has cunningly set the last trap that would kill it and baited itself. After Naru placed her helmet on the other side of the swamp, the predator finally shot itself. She redirected the shot after recognizing herself as a hazard.

Naru has not only defeated the predator, but also his entire tribe. She dismembers the creature’s head and returns it to her tribe. With the climactic climax, Naru is definitely a sight to behold, covered in the fluorescent gray-green blood of the predator. She drops her head at the chief’s feet, demonstrating her skill as a fighter by rescuing her tribe.
