Patricia Anne Newton AM is an Australian singer, actress, dancer, stage performer, and radio and television presenter. Patti Newton regularly participates on 3AW’s Nightline with Philip Brady and Simon Owens, Monday nights from 10.15pm. M. At 11.00 p. M. AEST.

In 2007, Newton participated in Dancing with the Stars and Deal or No Deal. Her first grandchild was born to her daughter Lauren on January 19, 2008, and her sixth grandchild was born in 2019.

On May 16, 2008, Newton was assaulted at the Chadstone Mall in suburban Melbourne while she was in a cafe. She was stolen a bag containing a journal, cash and jewelry inherited from her mother. Some of the items were recovered days later and two people were later charged with the theft. In 2018, she appeared on Who Do You Think You Are ?.

In 2012, Patti Newton was one of 12 celebrities to appear on the second season of The Celebrity Apprentice Australia. Patti Newton had been married to fellow Australian artist Bert Newton from November 9, 1974 until his death on October 30, 2021, and she often appeared with him. Bert Newton sometimes referred to her as “Patricia Anne Therese Bernadette McGrath Newton”. She is the mother of Lauren and Matthew Newton.

Bert Newton Cause of Death

Bert Newton has died aged 83 after having his leg amputated earlier this year due to a life threatening infection. Journalist Peter Ford told news.com.au that Patti Newton, Bert’s beloved wife of 46 years, asked him to confirm the sad news on his family’s behalf.

“I have very sad news,” Ford tweeted on Saturday evening. Showbiz icon Bert Newton has died at age 83. It was remarkable career on TV, stage & radio. Sadly he didn’t get the last chapter he deserved. He was a great mentor & friend to me. Condolences to Patti, Lauren, Matthew & extended family.”

The veteran performer — affectionately called Moonface — died while undergoing palliative care at a private clinic in Melbourne.
