There is very little information known about Patti Ann’s childhood except that she has an identical twin sister and a younger sister. She then started working for News 12 Long Island, which is a 24-hour cable news television channel, anchoring the station’s highest-rated three-hour morning news program. She also did field work, general assignment reporting.

After being a part of News 12 Long Island for many years, she then moved to MSNBC where she would be the anchor of the two-hour show “Weekend Morning Line”. She continued to do similar tasks with the network, conducting live interviews and also covering breaking news without any script, and appearing on various NBC news network channels.
