A collaborator, the Anoka County Investigator, referred to Walsh as a “relentless executioner” and said he pulled some tricks to refute the prosecution’s evidence. When Sweeney rebuffed his advances on an honest relationship and eventually brushed him off, Pendleton said Walsh grew increasingly irritated.

According to him, in the weeks leading up to his passing, Sweeney complained to loved ones about Walsh’s unwanted visits, obstructive gait and nuisance calls.
