Patricia Majalisa Wiki – Biography
Patricia Majalisa was a South African singer. She was often referred to as the ’80s disco music queen’. She rose to fame in the ’80s singing with the group Splash. She went solo in the late 1980s. She had over 15 albums and EPs. Some of her most popular albums include ‘Cool Down’, ‘Gimba’, and ‘Witchdoctor’.
Most recently, she collaborated with the South African Kwaito artist Mkhonzeni Langa, aka the Professor, on his latest album called ‘Bubblegum Love’. The album came out in March 2020 and features other stars of yesteryear such as Freddie Gwala, Kamazu, Dalom Kids, and Thiza.

Patricia Majalisa Death
Patricia Majalisa died at the Helen Joseph Hospital in Johannesburg on Thursday, July 9, 2020, at the age of 53, following a short illness. Her manager Osca Tee and spokesperson Osca P confirmed her death to Primal Information.
Dalom Stable manager Sylvia Tshanda said in a statement on the late Dan Tshanda’s Facebook page: “It is with sadness, regret, anguish and sorrow that I announce the passing of the Disco Queen, Patricia Majalisa. Her untimely death has left us and tens of 1000s fans around the world in shock. Majalisa leaves a legacy behind, she graced the stage, she lit parties and dominated the radio stations across Africa and beyond, both at the times when she was with Dalom Stable and when she wasn’t. Her music united all across different cultural, racial, and linguistic divides, not only in Africa but the world over.
