On November 18, 2015, 59-year-old Calvin Phillips was found. shot dead at his home in Pembroke, Kentucky, and the bodies of his wife Pamela Phillips, 57, and her neighbor Edward Dansereau were found a few miles away in Pamela’s burned-out car. During Martin’s trial, the medical examiner testified that Calvin Phillips died of multiple gunshot wounds. His body was found in the basement of his basement home, with the basement doors closed and hidden by a dog bed. CourtTV wrote during the trial.
A forensic pathologist testified that both Pamela Phillips and Dansereau died as a result of multiple gunshot wounds. One of Pamela’s friends said she was on the phone with her when she heard a “cry of surprise” and decided to see how she was doing, CourtTV reported from the trial. He found no sign of Pamela in the house, but saw that her car had been moved.
