The film proved highly successful, and became the most commercially successful Disney Channel Original Movie ever produced. The success of the original film would create a series of sequels.

Rulin on the other hand continued her studies, moving to Paris to study for a degree in economics. She then co-starred in the film entitled “Major Movie Star”, also known as “Private Valentine: Blonde & Dangerous”, alongside Jessica Simpson, which follows the story of an actress who enlists into the US Army. In 2009, Olesya was then cast in the drama film “Flying By” alongside Billy Ray Cyrus and Heather Locklear; the film is known to be the final film of actress Patricia Neal.

In 2010, she starred in another film called “Expecting Mary”, which also starred Elliot Gould and Linda Gray, and was premiered at the Palm Springs International Film Festival. Three years later, she worked on “Family Weekend” alongside Kristin Chenoweth, and in 2014 was then cast in the PlayStation Network series entitled “Powers”, playing the character Calista Sector. Personal Life and Social Media

For her personal life, not much is known in terms of any of Rulin’s romantic relationships. She has not talked about this aspect of her life, nor has been open about it. Many believe that she is single as there is nothing pointing to her being in a relationship. During her free time, she pursues other passions such as travelling, fashion and art.
