Who is Nick Mayerick?
Nick Mayerik was the single father of Eddie Mayerik. Nick is a former NAIA soccer player and coach who coaches adults to push themselves and reach peak form.
Nick’s son, Eddie Mayerik, was a passionate supporter of the Buffalo Bills and had serious health problems from a very young age. He was born with two defective heart valves and almost no pulmonary artery, which in a healthy person carries blood to the lungs to carry oxygen to the rest of the body. He had 8 open heart surgeries with the last surgery lasting 27 hours and many close calls.
Nick often shared videos on social media showing the victories and struggles they went through together while showcasing the brave journey of his son. Many others were motivated and inspired by Eddie’s contagious smile, unwavering determination and extraordinary optimism in the face of difficulties.
