Jabalpur, Sept 8 (IANS) – Madhya Pradesh’s Economic Crimes Wing (EOW) in Jabalpur on Thursday conducted a look at the home and office of a clergyman from the North India Diocese of Jabalpur congregation, said police.
During this strike, a large amount of money and unknown cash was recovered from Bishop PC Singh. A bill counting machine had been introduced to count the money held in cash.
During the EOW-led test, it was found that the cleric moved more than Rs 2 crores in real money from instructive organizations to strict establishments between 2004-05 and 2011-12, and also misused the assets to amass wealth. According to data obtained by the EOW, complaints were registered against Singh.
It was alleged that he reportedly changed the name of a hotel company and himself became the chairman of the Board of Education of the Jabalpur Diocese of the Church of North India.
The accused cleric allegedly abused his position and stole the expenses obtained from substitutes from educational organizations by involving them to administer strict bases and for his own use.
The EOW examined the complaints and hit the minister’s home and office after confirming the charges against him.
