Mona Hammond, a previous EastEnders entertainer, died at the age of 91. Sympathy for the “exploratory” craftsman immersed online entertainment.
A Jamaican-British entertainer, Mona was widely known for playing Blossom Jackson in the famous BBC sequential drama and for playing Susu in Desmond’s in the mid-1990s.
Hammond was awarded the Women of the World Lifetime Achievement Award in 2018 in recognition of her extensive and famous life in the theater and for supporting black British craftsmen with Talawa Theater Company.
She began her acting profession in front of an audience, where she appeared for quite some time in shows Macbeth, Josephine House and The Crucible, and Peer Gynt, Fuente Ovejuna and The Crucible at the Royal National Theatre.

On the 2005 Queen’s Birthday Honors List, she was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for her commitment to theater in the United Kingdom. The most lofty British distinction of the Screen Nation Film and Television Awards, the Edric Connor Inspiration Award, was awarded to Hammond in 2006.
But sadly, she passed away discreetly on July 5, 2022, and her companions, family and media will remember her.
Mona Hammond Family and Children Mona Hammond was born on January 1, 1931, in Tweeside, Clarendon Parish to caring guardians. Her mother was Jamaican, while her father was Chinese. On a Jamaican scholarship, she went to the UK in 1959, where an entertainer worked for Norman and Dawbarn Architects.
