Mick Jagger said that New York City fueled the “toughness” of one of the Rolling Stones’ collections. During a 1995 meeting with Rolling Stone, Jagger reviewed the beginning of the Rolling Stones’ Some Girls collection. “The motivation for the record was really situated in New York and the shapes of the city,” he said. “I feel like that gave it an extra push and toughness.”
