On Saturday night, Arellano was at a graduation party. As the statement states, he met Tyje Garrett, a 42-year-old resident of Tucumcari, who got into a “verbal twist” with Arellano.

Garrett is said to have pulled out of the party in his truck, while Arellano supposedly left the party and was noticed heading north on Cemetery Road.

Garrett is said to have shot Arellano several times during the confrontation and ran away from the area.

Where could the killer be now? The specialists captured Garrett. Before Garrett and his truck, all police officers were given a “be watching out” (BOLO). Logan police have captured Garrett without an episode. Garrett has been charged with ‘Homicide in the First Degree’. He was then taken to the Quay County Detention Center.
