Chelsea fans are still excited about the new signing of Joao Félix. He joined the Blues from Atlético Madrid on a short-term loan until the end of the 2022-23 football season. The Portuguese join a handful of players who joined during the current January transfer window in a bid to strengthen his squad.
Another Portuguese international who could join Chelsea’s Felix as the best January signing is Pedro Porro. The right-back has been the subject of transfer interest from London rivals Tottenham.
The two players, however, are not in each other’s good books despite hailing from the same country. Reports claimed that Porro had an affair with Félix’s girlfriend, Margarida Cordeiro, in 2019, as seen in the Sun.
It was reported that Corceiro and Porros were photographed kissing in the VIP section of a nightclub in their hometown of Lisbon. However, the 20-year-old actress dismissed the rumors surrounding her and Porro. In her words, she said,
“If I wanted to be kissing someone, in an intimate moment, it would not be in lust, much less in the VIP area with that little balcony and in full view of the entire club.”
She continued:
“I also do not understand why those gentlemen who took the initiative to record the video and report it in such a beautiful way did not remember to record me talking and hugging the other people who were there, the other boys, the players.”
Corceiro and Félix are believed to have started their relationship in 2019 when the Chelsea striker was 20 and she was 17. Their love affair also reportedly began on Instagram.
He has a strong presence on social media, with 1.4 million followers on Instagram, as well as 742 posts and his page @Magui_Corceiro. In addition to being the actress girlfriend of Chelsea star Felix, Corceiro is a professional model. She has appeared in popular soap operas like Prisoneira and Bem me Quer.
Remembering Graham Potter’s comments after Joao Félix’s red card in his Chelsea debut
It was not the best of the debuts of the Portuguese striker Joao Félix, sent off in his first game with the Blues against Fulham.
The striker made a shocking start, however a clumsy tackle in the second half overshadowed his brilliance when he was shown a red card. Speaking after the game earlier this month, head coach Graham Potter revealed that he knew why his new signing was sent off.
In his words, as seen on Goal, he said:
“It was a tackle from a striker. There was no malice in it, but I understand why it was a red card.”
He concluded:
“It’s another hit. The hits just keep coming right now. He was great, you could see the quality of him in the game, so it was doubly disappointing for us.” Being on a short loan, it will be interesting to see how the youngster proves himself with the little time he has.
