Early Life and Background

MadeInTYO is African-American, and has dark hair and brown eyes – he was raised as a military brat, and so would often relocate with his family to places including Virginia, Texas and San Diego,  prior to spending the rest of his adolescent years in Yokosuka, Japan, where he completed high school education  in Japan’s Nile C. Kinnick High School. He began making music influenced by his cousin who worked as a producer, then after high school, Davis went to Atlanta, alongside his older brother, Robert “24hrs” Davis, a rapper previously known as Royce Rizzy.

MadeinTYO launched his debut single entitled “Uber Everywhere” in February 2016, in collaboration with Commission Music and Private Club Records, with the song peaking at number 51 on the Billboard Hot 100, and number 10 on Urban Radio. Subsequently, the official remix was released, featuring Travis Scott, and gained platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The singer then released two extended plays, “24Hrs In Tokyo” in 2016 made in collaboration with his brother, and “True’s World” in 2017. You Are Forgiven

“You Are” Forgiven is the debut mixtape of  MadeinTYO, consisting of seven tracks including “Savage” and “Kelly Rowland”, initially released in late April 2016 in collaboration with Private Club Records on DatPiff, however, it was released again in August on iTunes, produced by MadeinTYO himself, alongside artists such as K Swisha,  ICYTWAT, Richie Souf and Purps, and including guest appearances by rappers such as Travis Scott and 2 Chainz.

24Hrs in Tokyo

In 2016, MadeInTYO, alongside his brother 24hrs, launched a shared extended play entitled “24hrs in Tokyo”, consisting of four tracks such as “YSL Boots” and “My Word” and available for purchase, but is also for free download. However, none of the tracks featured other artists.

True’s World

In August 2017, MadeInTYO released yet another EP, this time, under the title “True’s World”. The previously mentioned EP featured six songs such as “Depends”, “Cashing Out” and “True’s World”, gaining a positive response from the critics and the audience. Speaking about the mentioned EP, the artist stated that it was made for his fans, crediting them for his success. Besides that, he stated that “True’s World” holds a special place in his heart, as it was inspired by his son – the album cover features cartoon-like artwork, an ode to his child.

Collaborations

Besides working on his music, MadeInTYO can be heard as a guest on songs such as “Free Throw”, made in collaboration with Gio Dee and Metro Boomin, which was subsequently featured on “Mind Yo Business EP”. In 2016, he was featured on “Had To”, made by his brother, and in the following year on “Shake It Up” by G Eazy and E-40. As of early 2018, the singer collaborated with Nessly, with whom he made the track entitled “Livest”.

When it comes to MadeInTYO’s personal life, he has been engaged to Anhia Santana since early 2017, with whom he has a son. They reside in Los Angeles, California.
