According to the Louisville Metropolitan Police, a shooting occurred Monday in front of a group of people from Jefferson and the Magnet School office in the downtown area of the city, leaving one person dead and another wounded.
At around 11 a.m., as directed by the division, officers showed up at 8th and Chestnut to investigate the report. When the specialists showed up, they found a man and a woman with gunshot wounds.
As of now, there is certainly no suspect under care. Both the name of the one who was taken to the UofL emergency clinic and the name of the one who died have yet to be released.

“We affirm that there was a shooting outside and the suspects escaped before the appearance of the police,” LMPD wrote on Twitter shortly after 11 am “There is NO active assailant at JCTC on 8th Chestnut Roads,” they added.
At 12:20 pm, JCTC released a statement that all of its land was currently protected and closed in the afternoon. “We can affirm that there was a shooting beyond Specialty Lands Building A, and there are no active shooters on our land,” the proclamation said. “All Jefferson grounds are clear, except for specialty grounds, which will remain closed due to the police convention.”
This subsequent shooting occurred after a shooter killed four people and injured no fewer than eight others, including two staff, at the Old Public Bank in downtown Louisville. The shooter, whose name it seems cannot be discovered yet, was killed. It is not clear if he surrendered due to a self-inflicted shock wound or, on the other hand, on the off chance that specialists would fatally shoot him.
