Lisa began work full-time for the TV station KRGV-TV, based in the Rio Grande Valley metropolitan area and is an ABC affiliate – the channel can be seen on DirecTV and Charter Spectrum – so she had to move to work for it but she didn’t mind it as she became more experienced in the field of meteorology. She left KRGV-TV after she was offered a place at CBS 11 KHOU, which she accepted in order to be close to her hometown as it is based near Houston. This particular network is not owned by CBS directly, but is considered to be the second biggest CBS affiliate, right behind Atlanta – both of these stations are owned by Tegna Inc. Company. In 2011, out of the blue, the station announced that Lisa was no longer going to work for them as she had found herself a new job.

She is currently working as the Chief Meteorologist on KOLD/KMSB-TV network, where she started in October 2017.

Controversy

Stations usually choose hot and attractive girls to work as meteorologists for a good reason. However, some people claimed that Lisa crossed the line when she allegedly dressed rather provocatively, which did not respect the stations’ standards for reporters. Some rumors say that she was fired from CBS 11 because of some photos which she posted on her social media accounts, and were considered to be ‘too sexy’ by the executives. Lisa is said to have gone out with her two best friends and was wearing a low cut mini dress which was a very tight fit, and posted the pictures of that night on her Instagram account, and as soon as the executives saw them, they contacted her and asked her to remove the photos as they went against the station’s image. It took Lisa two days to remove the photos but all of these things caused tension between her and the executives which eventually led to her leaving the network.
